Gasoline or fuel filter (fuel filter) is one part of the fuel system component. The fuel filter is placed between the fuel tank (fuel tank) and the fuel pump (fuel pump). The function of the fuel filter is to filter water and dirt contained or carried in the fuel. The elements in the fuel filter will reduce the flow rate of the fuel and will cause water and dirt particles that have a greater density than the fuel to go down to the bottom of the fuel filter. If the dirt particles carried by the fuel have a specific gravity that is lighter than the specific gravity of the fuel, then these dirt particles will be filtered by elements of the fuel filter.
